Anuual Picnic and ReunionDear CUET Alumni, CANADA,You enjoyed the 7 th annual convention, thank you all. Our heart goes
with you from anywhere in the world. We are all CUET.Yesterday Aliashraf Bhai, Chair-Nirmity (bd) ltd., MD - Global Information Network (bd) ltd. (3rd
batch, CE) & I were discussing with VC Dr. Shaymol K. Biswas at his office. He gave us lots of valuable advices.He appreciated the activities of CUET Alumni,
USA and CUET Alumni of Canada, he also mentioned about Engr. Wahid Rahman (4th batch, C.E.) who is current Chief
Engr. of l.G.E.D helped to carpet the streets of CUET Campus.He mentioned as CUET alumni we can contribute a lot. There are lots of windows open for us.
Now is the time to grow, we should all keep our feelings for CUET and build.urselves. We can build a research center; give
scholarships to genius who will contribute to Bangladesh. In a hot and humid day I enjoyed the Bus stand standing there for a while-- which was a gift from
Alumni association of Canada. The Chief engineer Md.Serajul Islam of CUET Engg. Dept.(grad from CUET) drove by the CUET campus
and was narrating the new developments of CUET. I was rewinding my old days and wondered the changes now & future. He
took me to a place where a 12 story academic bldg. under construction of which 5 and a half story is already completed.After many many years I also met Engrail
K. Dhar Da(EE,1st batch) also met Engr.Achinto K.Chakrabortty(CE), X-en CUET.Ali Ashraf Bhai suggested we can bring some renowned teachers from
the west to CUET when they go for summer vacation and teach the CUET students some special program.This way we can be focused to more of the foreign schools, create
and ease a connection for CUET Grads to get foreign scholarships. He suggested to build some kind of mechanism to generate
fund (not asking individuals to subscribe each time).He gave example how he developed a mechanism in IEB Chittagong, before
individual decorators were doing business with IEB. He changed this. He asked them to make a security deposit towards IEB
welfare fund to run their business. Now in case of sickness, death they can provide help for the welfare
of Engineers & their family from this fund, and no need to ask for individual to subscribe. In USA, CANADA we can
approach to Philanthropists to contribute for our alumni fund, but to do this we need to be registered.You are cordially invited to join us (CUET Alumni, USA) at our
Annual Dinner & Cultural Function to be held at Tajmahal party club, Jamaica, NY on Friday the 2nd of December,

First meeting of CUET Alumni, USA at 7:00pm,on the 28th of January,2011 REMINDER Happy New Year.Dear CUET Alumni,USA.Please
be informed that we are going to hold the First meeting of CUET Alumni, USA at 7:00pm,on
the 28th of January,2011 at Jamaica ,Queens,NY.Our senior Engineer Mahbub Ahmed bhai has kindly yielded his space for this purpose. We thank him.We will include families as usual for total enjoyment.But we all will share the food costs by per head basis for this meeting. AGENDA: ·Closing of the 2010 budgets by sharing of $820.00,So far we have
collected $370.00. Rest will be collected on the 28th and we will close the Budget chapter for 2010 activities.
